Tribology - Oil Analysis
Tribology is defined as: "The study of friction, wear and lubrication; the science of interacting surfaces in relative motion".
Condition Monitoring through lubricant analysis allows for the early detection of any wear between relative moving components and for any degradation in the lubricant itself. The particle content in the lubricant, as well as the lubricant condition, can be trended over time and act as an early indication of a degrading asset - allowing for maintenance intervention to be implemented in a controlled manner, prior to failure.
Asset Condition Monitoring Ltd are able to provide you with oil collection / analysis services to compliment the other Condition Based Maintenance techniques available through ACM Ltd.
